How to Join PKIFED :
To become a PKIFED Member, your organization needs to be part of the PERN (Pakistan Education & Research Network). All PERN connected Universities / Colleges may submit their membership form on Support email address: edugain-ot@hec.gov.pk. The federation may request additional information with regard to participating institution. As an individual, see below for more information.

Higher Education Institutions
Pakistan Higher Education Institutions can operate an Identity Provider (IdP) to serve as Home Organization and also operate Authentication Authorization Infrastructure (AAI)-enabled web resources (Service Providers, SP). However, the Institution must be part of Pakistan Education Research Network.

Federation Partner
Typically, a Federation Partner operates AAI-enabled web resources (Service Providers, SP) and makes them available for the users with an AAI-enabled account at one of the participating Home Organizations that operate an Identity Provider (IdP).

Individual Users
Users whose home organization is not participant of PKIFED (list of Members) can get an AAI-enabled account from the Virtual Home Organization (VHO) (e.g. PERN)
